Since José Díaz García inaugurated his business in a street in Cartagena in 1898, the JOSÉ DÍAZ company has been synonymous with professionalism and enthusiasm for a job well done, consolidating itself as a benchmark in the sector.
JOSÉ DÍAZ is a distributor of the most prestigious brands for the HORECA sector, it belongs to the Crisol Group, the first and largest distribution group for the integral service of the hotel industry.
The logistics improvement project for JOSÉ DÍAZ has consisted of the incorporation of the AS-SGA solution, which has allowed them to work in real time in their logistics center and in a guided manner in all warehouse processes, to increase their productivity and reduce costs logistics considerably.
For order preparation, an aspect where the WMS should provide greater productivity, the operators with their PDAs are guided through an optimized merchandise collection route, verifying the correct item at each extraction, by means of its bar code reading, achieving much greater effectiveness, reducing costs due to errors and greater customer loyalty.
The WMS works in real time in the warehouse and is in permanent dialogue with the company’s ERP, Sage 200. Several companies of the aforementioned Crisol Group already have their warehouses managed and automated with our AS-SGA solution.
The person in charge of the project, José Ángel Martínez Díaz, offers us a summary of the objectives achieved with the AS-SGA solution: “It is a fundamental tool for our business, since we work with a large number of SKUs and we need to control our chaotic warehouse in one automatic way. Order preparation becomes efficient and corrects a large number of potential human errors.
