En este contexto, el Center for Sustainable Cities de IE University ha dise\u00f1ado, en colaboraci\u00f3n con\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/elmercantil.com\/2021\/06\/07\/prologis-confia-a-savills-la-comercializacion-de-una-nave-para-el-ecommerce-en-barcelona\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Prologis<\/a>, un indicador que analiza los retos del sector log\u00edstico y permite optimizar su impacto en el crecimiento de las ciudades. Este \u00edndice se ha aplicado en Madrid y Barcelona y se puede implementar en cualquier ciudad del mundo para obtener soluciones log\u00edsticas para cada ecosistema urbano.\u00a0El estudio recalca que, para conseguir una \u00faltima milla sostenible, es necesario dividir las ciudades por \u00e1reas y emplear un sistema log\u00edstico espec\u00edfico, \u00f3ptimo y sostenible para cada una.\r\n\r\nPara ello, los autores han dividido la ciudad en tres anillos: el centro hist\u00f3rico, el ensanche y el extrarradio de Madrid y Barcelona, y han simulado diez escenarios para cada una de esas zonas. Estas simulaciones combinan el tipo de urbanismo y el tipo de transporte de mercanc\u00edas que se utiliza en cada \u00e1rea: veh\u00edculo el\u00e9ctrico, bicicleta el\u00e9ctrica, transporte a pie, etc. A partir de ah\u00ed, han desarrollado una forma de visibilizar la relaci\u00f3n entre la estructura urbana y el tipo de sistema log\u00edstico denominada \u00c1rea de Intensidad Log\u00edstica. \u201cSe trata de un sistema de anillos que se superpone a la ciudad y que sincroniza la estructura urbana con el tipo de sistema log\u00edstico m\u00e1s eficiente y sostenible\u201d, explica el director del IE Center for Sustainable Cities y responsable del informe, Manuel P\u00e9rez Romero. Este sistema emplea un reparto a pie en el primer anillo, el casco hist\u00f3rico, que muta al reparto en veh\u00edculo el\u00e9ctrico para el segundo anillo y contempla el uso de veh\u00edculos
