innovation and industrial transformation, which broke records in terms of exhibitors and visitors at its last edition.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, Oscar Barranco developed a large part of his professional career in the media, where he has held different positions of responsibility in advertising and events departments, both in national newspapers and in magazines on different subjects.<\/p>\n<p>The Spanish Trade Fair Association (AFE) quantifies the annual economic contribution generated by the trade fair industry in Spain at 5,000 million euros. The COVID-19 crisis has led to the cancellation of nearly 100 trade fairs in our country, but it is expected that in the coming months this sector will play a fundamental role in the economic reactivation, providing a meeting place for entire industries, at regional, national and international level.<\/p>\n<p>In this sense, both small and large companies agree that face-to-face events are the fastest and most convenient way to reconnect with the market, as they offer a showcase of the latest trends, innovations and cutting-edge ideas in the same space and in just two days.<\/p>\n<p>Our company motto, &#8216;Visit the future&#8217;, makes more sense now than ever,&#8221; says Barranco. &#8220;As we look ahead, there is one thing we can be sure of: trade fairs, exhibitions and other live events will make a decisive contribution to connecting people face to face, to doing business together again and to accelerating the recovery.<\/p>\n<p>Empack and Logistics &amp; Automation 2020 will be held on 25-26 November in Madrid, in IFEMA&#8217;s Hall 9, and this year will place greater emphasis on robotics as the star element in achieving the best results in the packaging and logistics sector. In its last edition, it reached a record number of visitors, with the attendance of more than 11,000 professionals.<\/p>\n<p>Easyfairs: first private trade fair organiser in Spain and Portugal<\/p>\n<p>Empack and Logistics &amp; Automation are fairs of the Easyfairs group, a Belgian multinational based in Brussels that creates and implements events in 17 countries, showcasing the latest developments and trends, in line with its motto &#8220;Visit the future&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>It currently organises 220 events, manages 10 exhibition venues in Belgium, the Netherlands and Sweden, and employs more than 750 people.
