The integrated AS Software solution implemented has allowed to improve all corporate aspects, from its financial management to logistics, through suggested proposals for purchases and management with suppliers, to the preparation of orders assisted by the WMS, an advanced warehouse management system. .
The solution has also included the particular aspects of the sector: conversion factors between purchases, stock and sales, and management of product kits. Purchases can be managed in a unit of measure, for example meters for profiles, but the warehouse receives a number of specific profiles that are counted and stored in units. Sales orders are managed in units to facilitate stock management and preparations, but invoices can be done again in meters.
As for the kits, the company offers its customers sets of profiles accompanied by their mounting parts, in attractive commercial packaging. The solution automatically detects if there are not enough kits in stock in any sales order, to launch tasks of transferring components to the assembly lines, and that the necessary kits are completed, at the same time that other operators finish to prepare the rest of the sales orders, to finally consolidate the different packages of each shipment.
As the new warehouse is the core of the company's business, an advanced warehouse management solution has been implemented, fully integrated with the rest of the ERP. Based on a warehouse map with locations, all logistics processes are carried out in a guided manner. The operators have wireless terminals that, working in real time, carry out the processes of collation and receipt of purchase orders, the location in the appropriate areas and previously configured for each type of product, the management of the picking and its replacement by criteria of minimum stocks, and especially the preparation of orders in a guided way, optimizing the routes of collection of the material and verifying in each dislocation process....
