AS Software improves the logistics management of MINILAND GROUP

Miniland Group is a group of companies that operates both in the B2B sector under the Miniland New Concepts sub-brand, and in the B2C segment as a manufacturer-brand under the renowned Miniland Baby and Educational badges, aimed at manufacturing and worldwide distribution of products and services. light childcare accessories and educational toy for the family and school environment.
The company decided a year and a half ago to acquire, with AS Software; the solution of automatic system of stores AS-SGA for the integration with its ERP SAGE X3 and with it to replace the SGA that until the moment it was using.
One of the main reasons that led MINILAND to search and change towards a new solution of AS-SGA was the problem they had with the previous SGA solution that did not allow an agility in the logistic processes to manage their dispatch processes, movements of internal stock, production procurement and purchase receipts.
It worked with an adapted SGA system that forced to be managing stocks in two systems (ERP and SGA) in parallel which created data inconsistencies. Although it was integrated with its ERP system, Sage X3 was causing problems in the control of the traceability of lots and locations.
For all these reasons, it was decided to look for an agile warehouse automatic system solution in which their handheld devices were integrated with a dynamic application that would allow them to work optimally, since MINILAND generates a large number of transactions: with movements of one average of 13,000 monthly order lines, and with a current inventory of about 1,000 product references.
With the implementation of AS-SGA in Miniland the following improvements were mainly achieved:
• Solve processes such as the management of orders of one or two lines and with little quantity (service for public and small stores), as well as orders with many lines for large accounts. All this with a total control of the traceability of lots and locations.
• Have clear and concrete options with the least possible user interaction.
• Speed ​​up the replenishment system between the main warehouse, the picking area and the product thanks to the replenishment calculation options.
• Control the exclusive locations for product type "Sanitary" that by legislation must be separated from the rest of products.
• Control the different machine points to be provisioned.
• To be able to manage the manufacturing orders from AS-SGA, generating documents for the supply of the products in a grouped way.
• Incorporate the automatic generation of data for the Packing List within the processes of collection and issuance of sales orders.
