Deciphering E-commerce: keys to packaging and logistics

Empack and Logistics & Automation present the content programme for their II Digital Tech Congress

  • The Digital Congress will take place on 28 April from 09.30 to 14.00 hours with a packed agenda and networking opportunities for all attendees until 17.00 hours.

Madrid, 21 April 2021. On 28 April, Empack and Logistics & Automation will once again bring together their community around new content and networking at their next Digital Tech Congress. Under the title Deciphering E-commerce: keys to packaging and logistics, and sponsored by Mecalux, the event will serve as a meeting and training point for all professionals linked in one way or another to online commerce and who wish to keep up to date with the latest developments in e-commerce packaging and logistics.

The Congress will be attended by Lola Ortiz, Director General for Mobility Planning and Infrastructures of the Madrid City Council. With her, we will learn first-hand about the radical change that urban freight mobility has undergone in large cities, as well as the new Mobility Plan with which the Madrid City Council will try to optimise it and make it more sustainable for everyone.

After the presentation, four presentations and two round tables will be followed, in which, through different success stories, the speakers will be “deciphering” and unravelling the keys and trends of two fundamental elements for e-commerce, such as logistics and packaging.

Thus, the new needs, demands and logistics solutions will be addressed by Alejandro González, software director at Mecalux, and Juan Lara Aznar, sales Project manager at TGW Ibérica. Another perspective on packaging as a fundamental element for sustainability and customer experience in e-commerce will be offered by experts from three leading companies, namely Pedro Aguiar, Sales Director Iberia of Protective Pacakging at Sealed Air, Daniel Perea, Design Technician at Hinojosa Packaging Solutions and Belén Carballeira, Marketing Manager at Vegabaja Packaging.

The round tables will also bring together different aspects and perspectives with top-level speakers. The first, moderated by Samuel Rodriguez, CEO of Ecommerce News, will address the efficient and sustainable management of e-commerce projects, with the participation of Slimtock, Desigual, SSI Shaefer and Datalogic. The second, moderated by Carlos Zubialde, expert logistics consultant and owner of Informaciónlogistica.com, will focus on processes, automation and digitalisation, all focused on the last mile, and will be led by Nacex, Pelikane, Vinoseleccion and the platform Empresas por la Movilidad Sostenible.

Throughout the day, attendees will be able to debate and interact through the different tools provided by the platform both with the participating companies and speakers as well as with other attendees. Once the contents have been concluded, the platform will remain open for networking and 1to1 meetings until 17.00 hours.

Registration for the congress is free and can be done through the following link or through the Empack and Logistics & Automation websites.

The 2021 edition of both fairs will take place on 24 and 25 November and will be held jointly, as every year at IFEMA, with more than 300 companies confirmed so far. Until then, and through different themes, Easyfairs is working to keep its community united around innovation and through its different channels and Digital Congresses.
