Danone drives sustainable distribution with a 100% electric JAC refrigerated truck
A 100% electric refrigerated iJAC 7.5 operated by Arcodan joins Danone’s last-mile distribution operations in Santander.
A new 100% electric refrigerated iJAC 7.5 has joined Grupo Danone's last-mile distribution operations in Santander. The vehicle is part of the fleet of Arcodan, a company specialising in refrigerated logistics, and is exclusively dedicated to this operation.
With a 7.5-tonne GVW, refrigerated body and up to 230 km of driving range, the iJAC 7.5 can handle urban and last-mile routes while maintaining the quality, punctuality and temperature-control standards required for refrigerated food distribution, while reducing emissions from daily operations.
This is the second JAC electric truck added to Arcodan's fleet. Its first vehicle, also an iJAC 7.5, currently operates for Makro on hospitality distribution routes in Santander. The positive experience with this first vehicle has encouraged the company to continue moving forward with fleet electrification.
This new addition demonstrates the potential of 100% electric mobility to meet the demands of refrigerated logistics and urban distribution, combining sustainability, reliability and operational capability.
