Conveying, sorting and order picking: the very flexible ferag.denisort tilting tray sorter kills no less than three birds with one stone. Thanks to its robust and proven design – ferag.denisort is a close relative of ferag.deniway – the system can be used seamlessly for all three processes, even in the third dimension. This means that ferag.denisort not only allows a continuous flow of materials across several levels, but also fully meets intralogistics requirements in the e-commerce sector. Different tray sizes, which can be strung together any which way, for maximum flexibility: in this way, variously sized products can be processed at high throughput rates. The tilting trays are able to open to either side as needed, while ensuring gentle and careful treatment of conveyed goods. Even fragile products such as medicine vials and electronic modules can be handled. In addition, ferag.denisort is an ideal solution for handling residual post in postal facilities.

ferag.deniway
The beauty of simplicity: the ferag.deniway plate chain conveyor is based on rollers and has a modular design. The three standard components – C-channel, plate chain and reverse sprocket – are generally sufficient to cover basic requirements. This simplicity makes the design flexible and even the planning of challenging circuits is not going to cause any headaches. System engineers are amazed at how easy it is to plan and install complete and complex systems using ferag.deniway. Differences of height, tricky corners or bulky mixed goods – the ferag.deniway plate chain conveyor takes it all in its stride. It can reach a conveyor speed of 1.5 metres per second, and will take a load of 50 kilograms per metre. A single conveyor system is enough to serve a complete plant, with all processes being centrally controlled. The material flow industry can only benefit from this. Energy consumption is cut, as are carbon dioxide emissions, while operating costs and maintenance are likewise reduced. The only thing that rises – based on experience, to a massive degree – is productivity.

Increasing digitalisation in the production and logistics environment means that software is playing an ever greater role in the design and manufacture of machines and systems and is constantly increasing their efficiency. The control and monitoring of such systems is becoming increasingly complex as a result. This requires experts. That is why we have developed our own proprietary control and process control system for our innovative conveyor and sorting systems. Its modules cover all levels of the automation pyramid, from the individual field level to plant management. At the same time, they can be easily customised and expanded. In this way, the application fulfils all the functionalities required to integrate a Ferag conveyor system perfectly into upstream and downstream processes and to operate it safely and reliably. We programme our own in-house process controls and control systems for all the elements involved in our systems. This also includes our intelligent material flow computer (MFC) for optimised order processing or redundant and highly available warehouse inventory management. We ensure integration into an existing warehouse management system (WMS), warehouse control system (WCS) or other peripheral systems by means of a customisable interface. Users benefit from customised user interfaces for various and different user groups as well as high software quality thanks to the use of emulators (‘Digital Twin’). The simulation of complex material flow processes to verify the system concept rounds off our versatile range of control and monitoring systems. Remote support with preventive maintenance to ensure the highest possible system availability is a matter of course.

ferag.easychain
The ferag.easychain conveyor system can take even tighter curve radii than its 'bigger brother', ferag.deniway. This is especially evident when complex, multidimensional layouts are required. In addition, the system is made from pluggable plastic parts that can be quickly assembled and reassembled. Like its counterpart ferag.deniway, ferag.easychain has rollers that reduce friction and thus energy consumption and abrasion. Therefore, ferag.easychain is also largely maintenance-free. Its patented tow drive is placeable anywhere and enables the system to get by with less power. This sustainably improves the eco-balance. ferag.easychain has proven itself as an efficient solution for process logistics, especially in the food, beverage and pharmaceutical sectors.

ferag.skyfall
ferag.skyfall is the unique conveyor system that makes use of gravity and the third dimension. A simple rail profile with roller bodies allows the most diverse articles up to 10 kilograms in weight to be conveyed from A to B. From beverage sachets and carrier bags through to cookie packets – ferag.skyfall conveys them all with ease. A further plus: processes like order-picking, weighing or labelling, etc. are carried out during the conveying sequence. Two types of shuttles are available. Type M for items up to 5kg. Type L can carry up to 10kg. And when that weight exceeds 10 kilogrammes, trolley systems are used. For this reason, the load-carrying adapters on the hangers can be adapted to almost any customer-specific requirement.
