Innovation, sustainability, digitalisation and talent will once again take centre stage at Logistics & Automation with the seventh edition of the UNO National Awards for Logistics Leaders. The awards, organised by UNO, the Spanish Logistics and Transport Business Organisation, will be presented on 11 November at IFEMA Madrid during the first day of the trade fair organised by Easyfairs.
The deadline for submitting nominations is 21 September, and the winners will be announced during a ceremony bringing together some of the leading figures from the national logistics sector.
Eight categories to recognise excellence in logistics
The 7th edition of the UNO National Logistics Leaders Awards will recognise companies, professionals and institutions across eight categories that reflect some of the main challenges and areas of development within the supply chain.
The main new feature this year is the introduction of the Nebrija Award for the Best Logistics Project of the Year, a category designed to highlight the academic excellence, leadership and professional prospects of the most outstanding students in logistics and transport, thereby reinforcing the awards’ commitment to talent development and generational renewal.
Alongside this new category, the awards will recognise sustainable logistics projects that integrate sustainability and environmental protection as part of their business strategy; initiatives in logistics innovation and entrepreneurship capable of boosting competitiveness and driving change within the sector; and business digitalisation projects that help to optimise operational efficiency and move towards supply chains that are more connected, predictive, harmonised and analytical.
Furthermore, awards will be given to logistics internationalisation initiatives that foster the growth of Spanish companies in international markets and help to strengthen the ‘Marca España’ brand, as well as to the careers of those professionals who, through their dedication and commitment, drive the sector’s competitiveness and help to highlight its role as an essential activity for the economy.
The Logistics Communication category will once again recognise the work of the media, independent professionals, bloggers and specialist content creators who help to raise awareness of the value that logistics brings to the economy and society. Finally, the 2026 Special Logistics Award will recognise those companies, institutions or individuals who have stood out for their ability to lead change, provide innovative solutions and inspire the sector as a whole.
Logistics & Automation, the sector’s meeting point
Óscar Barranco, managing director of Easyfairs Iberia, notes that “the logistics sector is undergoing a period of profound change, and these awards provide an opportunity to recognise those who are driving that change. Every year, Logistics & Automation brings together the companies, professionals and technologies that are shaping the future of the supply chain; therefore, once again hosting these awards – organised by UNO, our strategic partner and natural ally in driving the sector forward – as part of the event is a way of highlighting the talent, innovation and initiatives that are setting the course for the industry”.
For his part, Francisco Aranda, president of UNO, emphasises that “the UNO Awards have established themselves as the most prestigious and high-profile awards in the national logistics sector, and as a true barometer of innovation, excellence and the transformative capacity of this essential activity”.
Aranda also emphasises that “holding these awards as part of Logistics & Automation allows us to amplify their impact and connect with the entire logistics ecosystem at a key moment, making them an unmissable event that brings together the sector’s top executives, experts and business leaders every year”.
With over 450 exhibiting companies, more than 250 experts and an expected turnout of over 12,200 trade visitors, Logistics & Automation will once again bring together the entire logistics value chain under one roof. Over the course of two days, operators, shippers, technology providers and supply chain managers will share knowledge, explore new business opportunities and discover the innovations that are shaping the future of the sector.
