TVS Supply Chain Solutions: Scaling Safety Across Logistics Networks

Connected Safety Net expands across TVS Supply Chain Solutions UK & Europe’ UK logistics network, further demonstrating CSN’s expertise in the logistics sector.

Our Group Managing Director and CSN founder, Paul Richardson, reflects on 39 years in logistics: from warehouse supervisor to creating CSN.

We don’t reflect on the past often enough, yet it’s incredible how experience shapes the future.

My journey began 39 years ago in a distribution centre, working as a supervisor focused on process, people and precision. I couldn’t have imagined that three decades later I’d be leading global teams and supply chains, becoming Managing Director and Chief Innovation Officer for DHL Supply Chain.

DHL taught me the fundamentals of operational excellence, innovation and a safety-first culture. It also left me with a question: how could we make workplaces safer, smarter and more connected?

In 2019, that question became action. I founded CSN with trusted colleagues to redefine how safety and compliance are managed across logistics and industrial environments. Drawing on decades of experience, we set out to make safety an intelligent, data-driven capability.

Today, our AI-powered ecosystem supports safety, compliance and facility operations. We’re now seeing that vision scale across logistics networks.

The journey from warehouse supervisor to technology founder has required persistence, courage and a willingness to leave my comfort zone. Every challenge and breakthrough helped build what CSN is today: innovation born from experience and technology with a human purpose.

I’m fortunate to work with organisations turning that vision into reality. As Mark Hughes, Health and Safety Ops Assurance Manager at TVS Supply Chain Solutions UK and Europe, shared:

“As our network continues to scale, having consistent digital processes across sites is essential. Connected Safety Net has supported the rollout across seven distribution operations, giving our teams better visibility and a more structured approach to safety and operational delivery.”

Moments like this remind me why the journey from vision to reality is so worthwhile.
