DIGITAL TALKS

NATIONAL ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE STRATEGY

10:40 - 11:00

AI is one of the technologies with the greatest potential for transformation and impact in all areas of productive activity, as well as being a driver of innovation and an important vector for generating quality employment.

The National Artificial Intelligence Strategy seeks to place our country in line with the leading countries in the research and use of reliable Artificial Intelligence at the service of economic and social development, at the service of our economic modernisation. The strategy is essential in order to incorporate AI as a factor for improving competitiveness and social development, and it will also do so by promoting technological developments that help to project the use of the Spanish language in the fields of application of AI.

The implementation of this strategy will mobilise public investment of 600 million euros in the period 2021-2023. In this presentation, the measures involved were presented.

AUTOMATION ADVANCES IN ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING

11:10 - 11:30

HP 3D Printing showcased the latest developments from its customers

Revolutionary new TPA and TPU elastomeric materials from BASF and Lubrizol; and PP Polyolefin developed by BASF.
The HP Automatic Unpacking Station solution developed in conjunction with the Rösler Group’s AM solutions that improves performance across all workflows.
The new HP Universal Build Manager Powered by Dyndrite, which brings increased productivity and efficiency as well as automation to additive build management for all major 3D printing processes.
We learned about the success stories of our customers and how they apply all these new features in their production processes.

DIGITAL TALK - SPONSOR

Automation with intelligence: In search of organisational reinvention

11:40 - 12:05

sponsor session

In recent years we have witnessed organisations embracing new digital ways of working, incorporating robotics and artificial intelligence (AI) as pillars of their transformation process. Today we can see a wide range of tools and technologies being adopted, including optical character recognition (OCR) or intelligent character recognition (ICR), business process management (BPM), process monitoring and automation as well as data mining. The implementation of a broad set of technologies allows organisations to simplify business processes, increase the amount of automatable work and broaden the range of potential use cases.

KEYNOTE SESSION

PURPOSE FOR A ROBOTIC WORLD

12:15 - 13:00

Keynote session

Artificial Intelligence, robotics and automation are classically seen as heartless entities. But, if we look at the process of digital acceleration we are living through, we see that it is dominated by an entirely human component: the purpose of bringing us closer in the distancing; of finally breaking down the cultural barriers that technology alone will never achieve.
Discover the world of automation and digital transformation from an open attitude, but also from the critical view that these changes pose for us in the construction of a better society.

DIGITAL TALKS

Approach to Digitisation from the solid foundation of Automation

13:10-13:30

Starting from the objectives of Industry 4.0, the speaker shows how to achieve them by means of Digitalisation technologies, such as IIoT, Digital Twin, etc., combined on a solid automation base. All illustrated with real use cases.

Automation based on openness: key factor in the factory of the future
Schunk and Wittenstein success stories

13:40- 14:00

Why are openness and collaborative solution creation key factors in the success of the factory of the future?

At Bosch Rexroth, we have analysed the limitations and differences between IT and OT network topologies in the factory and discovered how to overcome them to gain real benefits from Industry 4.0. We have come to the conclusion that openness and collaboration in the creation of solutions are key factors in the success of the factory of the future. That is why we are convinced that automation based on openness is the key to a breakthrough in the digitalisation of production. Through two practical examples with SCHUNK and WITTENSTEIN, we will address the topic of how solutions can be improved through vertical co-creation of different domains and bring radical innovation.

MESA REDONDA

PANNEL DISCUSSION TRANSFORMANDO LA INDUSTRIA, CAMINO HACIA EL 5.0

15:45 - 16:45

Detail: “LOGÍSTICA, PACKAGING y ROBÓTICA: RETOS COMUNES”

A debate on the common challenges of packaging, logistics and robotics: efficiency, customisation, process optimisation… Addressing the main lessons learned from the crisis, and whether we have come out of it stronger. Education as a key shared vector: How do our guests work this connection? What are the cutting-edge developments in robotics and automation for the packaging and logistics sector? And speaking of innovation, what is the state of the art in Spain and what future trends in automation would our guests highlight? Talking also about supply chains, and how they have been affected during 2020. And talent 4.0, of course. And finally, a reflection on the transition from Industry 4.0 to 5.0, at what stage are we at? What has the introduction of artificial intelligence meant? Who is winning the battle for “industrial data”? Data, data, data… and the human-machine relationship at the centre.
