A strategic conference for the Spanish logistics sector

Logistics has evolved from a purely operational process to become a strategic pillar at the intersection of sustainability, resilience and technological innovation. It is with this conviction that the 1st LOGISTOP Scientific and Technological Conference has been launched: a forum designed to bring together the leaders who are redefining the sector from the worlds of business, cutting-edge research and public institutions.

Over two intensive days, the conference will translate applied innovation into projects and real-world impact for the value chain, with the aim of anticipating the changes that are already transforming the sector.

Call for Abstracts open until 30 June 2026

The conference has launched its call for abstracts for researchers, professionals and technologists wishing to present their work. The key dates for the process are:

20 April 2026: Opening of the Call for Papers and the deadline for submitting abstracts.

30 June 2026: Deadline for receipt of abstracts.

By 15 July 2026: Notification of acceptance to authors.

6 and 7 October 2026: Conference to be held in Valencia.

Five cutting-edge thematic areas

The conference’s scientific programme is structured around five major thematic areas that reflect the sector’s current and future challenges:

Topic 1 – Sustainability and the energy transition in logistics: The shift towards efficient and sustainable models that reduce the environmental impact of the supply chain.

Topic 2 – Logistics resilience, emergencies and critical infrastructure: The ability to anticipate, manage and recover from crises and disruptions, including dual-use civil-military solutions.

Topic 3 – Digitalisation, interoperability and advanced traceability: Digital transformation for more connected, intelligent and efficient logistics, with data integration and advanced analytics.

Topic 4 – Port logistics, intermodal transport and smart corridors: Optimisation of flows in port and multimodal environments, improving connectivity between hubs and infrastructure.

Topic 5 – Urban logistics, last-mile delivery and omnichannel operations: Solutions for urban distribution, reverse logistics and the integration of physical and digital channels.

Valencia, the logistics hub of the Mediterranean

The choice of Valencia as the venue is no coincidence. The city has established itself as the leading logistics and intermodal hub in the Mediterranean, driven by the leadership of its port — a key player in global connectivity and a pioneer in the transition to green infrastructure — and by a world-class technological innovation ecosystem. The Las Naves and La Harinera complex, an iconic venue for Valencian innovation, will host the conference sessions.
