Element Logic automates Pecomark's Barcelona warehouse with AutoStore.

The new solution increases the efficiency of small and medium-sized spare parts management for the refrigeration equipment distribution specialist.

Element Logic has automated the central warehouse of Pecomark, a leading distributor of refrigeration and air conditioning equipment and components throughout the Iberian Peninsula, located in Llinars del Vallès (Barcelona). Thanks to the AutoStore compact storage and order picking solution, designed and deployed by Element Logic, Pecomark has boosted its logistics capacity, multiplying the efficiency and accuracy in the management of small and medium-sized spare parts. This improvement not only optimizes order picking speed but also stock accuracy and availability, thus strengthening the company's competitiveness in the sector.

Benefits of automation for Pecomark
The new high-density system, which occupies an area of 380 square meters, has a storage capacity of 15,246 bins stacked in 16 levels and is comprised of 12 R5 robots and three carousel-type workstations, two of which are dedicated to order picking and one to receiving. However, the system is flexible and also allows the use of all three stations for order picking, easily adapting to the company's operational needs.

Furthermore, to maximize the efficiency of the AutoStore system, Pecomark has also installed eManager, the software developed by Element Logic that allows continuous control of product location, inventory, goods receipt, returns management, replenishment, and picking. eManager uses a forecasting algorithm to optimize AutoStore's logic and seamlessly integrates with Pecomark's ERP, SAP R3, ensuring efficient communication between the two systems.

Pecomark Improves the Efficiency and Ergonomics of Its Warehouse
This initial configuration allows Pecomark to store approximately 8,000 product references and automate 70% of its current picking operations.
