Element logic expands its portfolio with two new, more ergonomic AutoStore workstations
Element logic has expanded its portfolio of AutoStore solutions with the addition of two new workstations: FusionPort™ and FusionPort Staging™.
Element logic has expanded its portfolio of AutoStore solutions with the addition of two new workstations: FusionPort™ and FusionPort Staging™. Both ports represent an important advance in terms of safety, ergonomics and greater productivity for operators.
FusionPort™ presents several key benefits for workers, geared towards their retention and satisfaction:
- The port or work station tilts 15° forward to reduce the physical effort of operators and the repetitive movements they make when manually moving inventory from one bin to another.
- The station also incorporates visual indications with a pick-to-light system that facilitates the identification of the articles. This system is designed to simplify operator workflow, decrease stress during port operation, reduce errors, and simplify training.
- On the other hand, it also includes an improved security hatch that allows access to the buckets when the article is ready to be prepared and is closed once the operation is finished. Although the rest of the ports also include security devices, the hatch offers greater protection when it comes to reducing accidents at work and guaranteeing the physical integrity of the operator.
The new FusionPort™ is the most versatile to date from a productivity and system integration standpoint. Two bucket openings allow for more automated picking and better workflows; a picking robot can alternately select the bin it picks from, and in addition, it is possible to prepare one bin while picking the second, or use both port openings in a custom combination. This flexibility, added to the 15° tilt, makes it the most ergonomic and optimized workstation in the AutoStore automated storage and picking system.
