Grupo SESÉ, capable of picking up to 5,000 orders a day thanks to Pick To Light technology
The integrated logistics operator Grupo SESÉ, in collaboration with Pick To Light Systems, can pick up to 5,000 orders per day, thanks to the increase in productivity through the integration of Pick To Light technology in picking its customers orders.
Grupo SESÉ's logistics centre located in Zaragoza now has Pick To Light technology to perform the order picking once the pre-picking tasks have been completed. Thanks to the project developed, the logistics centre in Zaragoza has increased its flexibility, and is now able to tackle output peaks generated by the online retail business of up to 5,000 orders per day.
David Tapia, Director of the logistics centre in Zaragoza said that the improvements mainly focus on three aspects: the reduction in the number of errors made in order picking, the productivity achieved and the short training periods needed to train people during peak work periods throughout the year.
