NORDAC FUSION

Maximum performance, minimum space

NORDAC FUSION is a compact drive solution that integrates the motor and frequency inverter to deliver high power density in a minimal footprint. Its optimized design eliminates the need for complex parameterization and enables fast commissioning with a plug-and-play approach. The decentralized architecture allows direct installation on the machine, reducing wiring requirements and eliminating the need for centralized control cabinets.

The system combines IE3 asynchronous motors and IE5+ permanent magnet synchronous motors, available in ventilated and non-ventilated versions, with the decentralized NORDAC ON frequency inverter. It covers a power range from 0.31 to 3.7 kW and can be combined with modular gear units while maintaining standardized communication and safety functions for global applications.

The frequency inverter features an integrated PLC, multi-protocol Ethernet interface, and support for PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, and EtherCAT. It also includes integrated safety functions such as STO and SS1, motion monitoring functions including SLS, SMS, and SSM, and safe digital I/O for additional fail-safe functions.

Thanks to the IE5+ permanent magnet synchronous motor and encoderless control based on open-loop CFC technology, the system provides precise and reliable performance even in dynamic applications while eliminating the need for additional sensors.

The IE5+ motors achieve efficiencies of up to 95% across a wide operating range, helping reduce energy consumption and simplify product variant management.

NORDAC FUSION is designed for demanding environments, operating at temperatures down to -30°C. Combined with the NORDAC ON PURE inverter and NXD upH® surface treatment, it is particularly suitable for hygienic applications such as food processing, where integrated Ethernet, hybrid cables, and Daisy Chain technology enable cleaner, more efficient, and easier-to-maintain installations.
