Decentralised drive technology in end-of-line packaging

With a solution combining decentralised drive electronics and asynchronous motors , NORD provides the end-of-line packaging with an in many ways efficient alternative to centrally controlled concepts, offering significant cost benefits over the commonly used centrally controlled servo solutions.

Reduced wiring: Decentralised frequency inverters offer quicker installation and lower maintenance. They make systems easier to scale so that they can be quickly and easily adapted to new requirements.
Increased dynamics: Asynchronous motors from NORD feature high overload capacity and control without encoder. Frequency inverters with POSICON module allow for precise positioning.
Drives with treated aluminium housing in primary packaging

With NORD’s NXD tupH® protective technology , aluminium surfaces are electrolytically treated and coated with a powerful sealer. This allows to utilise the process advantages of aluminium for primary packaging:

High level of hygiene: NXD tupH®-treated surfaces are particularly resistant against aggressive cleaning chemicals in the wash-down area. Even if the surface is damaged, no particles come off.
Sustainable solutions: NXD tupH®-treated surfaces are free from PFAS and food-safe according to the FDA, the EU, Switzerland and the MERCOSUR states. Aluminium is lightweight, economical and fully recyclable. Furthermore, aluminium housings provide high heat conductivity.
